I qualified at the McTimoney Chiropractic College (Oxford) in 1999 and have been practising the McTimoney technique from my home in Bloxham ever since.
I am registered with the Association of McTimoney Practitioners and as part of this registration undertake training courses (CPD) each year to keep my skills and knowledge current.
Having been an animal lover since childhood I decided to further my training by undertaking a post-graduate course in McTimoney Animal manipulation which I completed in 2005. This has enabled me to expand my practice to cover dogs and cats.
If you are interested in finding out more about the McTimoney treatment, or would like to book an appointment, please phone or email me and I will be happy to help you.
Developed by the late John McTimoney over 50 years ago, the McTimoney method is a gentle, whole body, holistic treatment.
The treatment is very gentle and pleasant to receive.
At each visit we use our hands (palpation) to assess the position (alignment) of all the joints of the body and adjust as required. The adjustments combine speed, accuracy and very little force, which makes this a very gentle treatment.
The treatment helps your nervous system work more efficiently, relieving pain and discomfort, and increasing mobility. Our aim is to encourage the natural ability of the body to repair itself, thereby enabling a return to optimum health.
The McTimoney method is suitable for people of all ages. It is proven to be effective in treating conditions such as back, neck and shoulder pain, stiffness and pain in joints, arthritic pain and muscular aches.
Elizabeth Hearle is a registered McTimoney Practitioner and has been running her clinic from her home in Bloxham 2000.
At your first appointment we will discuss your medical history along with your occupation, hobbies and general well-being. You will then be examined and adjustments will be made as needed. The first appointment will take up to an hour.
Follow-up treatments start with a session a week later, where we will assess how well the body has responded and therefore when further treatments are needed.
The number of sessions needed varies considerably – for example, the body repairs faster when we are young or soon after the problem was first experienced. Similarly, the fitter and healthier you are, the faster your body will respond to treatment. Lifestyle, stress levels and occupation will all play a part in speed of recovery.
PLEASE NOTE:
